Final four flags

New Zealand’s flag choice has been trimmed to 4 designs.

Three fern designs and one koru design are the options that could go head-to-head with the current New Zealand flag in a referendum next year.

The final four new national flag designs were revealed yesterday at a function in Wellington.

The public will be asked to vote them to decide the final option in a referendum to be held later this year. This will determine which of the designs will run against the current flag in a second referendum in March 2016 to decide which flag New Zealand will use in the future.
